I'm a little girl born in 1988 in Quebec, Canada. That makes me a french Canadian (Quebecker!), but as you can see, I'm also fluent in English. I worked a few years as a translator but I'm now working as a professional display designer.
I made my first - poorly made - costume back in 2004 for Halloween, but I attended my first convention in 2006, where I won a "Best in Show" award in the novice division of the masquerade, to my big surprise. I've been hooked on cosplay ever since. I've been to conventions in Quebec, Ontario and the U.S., but I hope someday I can see more of what the U.S. and the rest of the world has to offer! Through the years, I have won multiples prizes in masquerades and costuming/wig contests and now I compete at the Master level. I occasionnally judge masquerades at local conventions. And I even took the role of Masquerade Director once for the Cape & Kimono convention in Quebec City. I'd really want to push myself more into cosplay - going to more conventions, making more costumes, learning more techniques, meeting more people, etc. - but I have so many hobbies, including drama, sports and irish dancing, that at one point I have to make choices! But I love cosplay so much that I'll never put it aside! |
